ABOUT THE PROJECT

CASE STUDY

Hutchinson Builders

– BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES FACILITY DEVELOPMENT

A new building for the School of Biological Sciences, located in the protected native landscape “Jock Marshall Reserve” at Monash University’s Clayton campus. The design for the JMR Laboratory building expresses the idea of looking at the natural world using a piece of scientific equipment. Components of a microscope inform the shape of the building including an eyepiece forming the entrance and ocular windows in each laboratory that resemble microscope lenses looking out over the reserve.  We monitored construction of the teaching facility and provided regular visual updates that were used for stakeholder meetings and videos that were used for award submissions and online content.

“Vantage Drones has acted as a contractor for various RPA works for the Department of Biological Sciences and beyond. Due to my understanding of their works and professionalism, I have recommended Vantage Drones several times…”
John, Monash University
